Hospital & Clinical Waste
Systems for treatment of hospital and clinical waste include:
high-temperature controlled combustion;
gasification and pyrolysis;
steam sterilisation (generally under pressure in an autoclave); and
microwaving.
High-temperature combustion is the most common treatment. This can be carried out using:
a rotary kiln;
a stepped hearth;
a pulsating grate; or
a fluidised bed.

Darley & Associates have considerable experience with all forms of treatment for clinical waste, yet they remain independent from any supplier so are able to give a fully objective assessment of the advantages and disadvantages of each option, including cost comparisons.
